On June 27, 2022 Vi-talik Bute-rin founder of the Ethereum blockchain, tweeted out in response to a tweet, “EOS is Ethereum On Steroids. The name reflects the fact that the core team learned from Ethereum’s amateurish naivety and idealism, and built out a team of professional top-talent software developers that created a smart contract platform with much higher scalability and speed.”
Yes, yes, I know what you’re probably thinking, the first thing I thought to myself is, is this real? I pinch myself twice to be sure, but yes this is a real tweet from the Ethereum founder. As shocking as it is sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. And this is quite certainly one of those moments, and personally I would have never put a high likelihood on the Ethereum founder actually emitting this while I was alive, but such is life.
